Dragonwell Green

Ingredients:  Green tea from the Hangzhou region in China.

Description:  Long ago, the Chinese Emperor Qianlong was so impressed by Dragon Well that he declared that no one in the whole land could drink it except for his imperial court.  The tea was only grown around West Lake in the mountain area of Hangzhou.  It took a skilled craftsman to shape the leaves, roast them in a large wok and press them by hand into long flat spears.  Dragonwell has not changed since the Emperor had his first divine cup.  Luckily, it is now available to any tea connoisseur with a taste for the finer things in life.  China’s most premium tea features a complex grassy taste with undertones of chestnut, and brews a vivid yellow-green cup.
